Heleen Blanken is a visual artist who lives and works in Amsterdam. She levitates across the fields of installation art, new media, cinematography, scenography, and sculpture.

Driven by the intricate interplay between humanity, nature and technology, Blanken explores the multifaceted layers of our perception of the natural world. She challenges traditional artistic dichotomies such as organic versus artificial and analog versus digital. Through her work, she raises questions on how we contemplate ideas of nature, the convergence of artificial and natural elements, and the exploration of potential futuristic narratives.

Heleen’s work has been shown internationally in curated shows at institutes such as Gropius Bau Berlin, Nxt Museum, Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, Floriade World Expo 2022, La Gaîté Lyrique, Gallery Ron Mandos, Musée d’art Contemporain, Kunstkerk Dordrecht, and Ars Electronica.

She has collaborated with institutes such as Naturalis Leiden, Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, and the Institute for Geosciences Utrecht.
