Immersive exhibitions in physical and virtual spaces - Designing the exhibition experience of the future
MOME RDI course 2024
The goal of this course is for students to learn and master modern methods for creating virtual exhibitions and immersive exhibition experiences, and to study immersive features in physical and digital exhibition spaces. The course dedicates particular attention to recent endeavours in ArtScience to create immersive experiences, linking neuroscience as well as other natural and life sciences with art practices, thus inducing new kinds of receptive and creative processes in both virtual and physical spaces. The course is open to not only art students, but also theory majors, with an emphasis on collaboration between students from different backgrounds, as the joint creative work of theoreticians and practitioners will gain increasing significance in the exhibition spaces of the future.
UNIVERSITY COLLABORATIONS
The institution is now in professional contact with almost all institutions of art education around the country, and hundreds of students have been introduced so far to the light arts while taking a behind-the-scenes look at LAM.  Students from the Budapest Metropolitan University, the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design have visited us several times in the scope of university classes, when we contributed to the sharing of knowledge by guided tours and professional discussions.
ART EDUCATION PROGRAMMES FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
In addition to staging spectacular exhibitions, it is an important mission of the Light Art Museum to also introduce the younger generation to light art and help them learn to love it. All this, of course, in a way that is understandable and interesting for the little ones, playfully connected to our ongoing exhibitions.
During each exhibition season, our institution is visited by more than 10,000 pupils in school groups, with optional guided tours. Depending on the size of the group, accompanying adults get free admission. For more information, please contact kozonseg@lam.xyz.
Additionally, every day except Saturday, visitors with a valid teacher card can visit our current exhibition for HUF 2500.
FREE GUIDED TOURS AVAILABLE FOR ALL
It is exceptionally important for us to make light art as widely known as possible. In this spirit, we offer free guided tours every Tuesday, from 16:00 and 18:00.
